This morning Baby Beez and I met up with friends at the Pittsburgh Children’s Museum. We’ve had a membership there since Baby Beez was about 6 months old. At all our previous visits, we only visited the nursery area. It’s quite nice, with lots of pillows, books, and baby toys. Now that Baby Beez is toddling, the museum was a whole new experience. She was finally big enough to play in the other rooms! Of the kids we were with, Baby Beez was the youngest (she’s 15 months), and the oldest is (I think) 5 or 6. All the kids had plenty to do, and lots of fun!
Playing with the Puppets
Kickin’ back and enjoying a grilled cheese in the cafe…had to change into the emergency back-up clothes, since someone drenched herself playing in the water room…
If you live in or near Pittsburgh and have kids under 8, a membership to the Children’s museum is well worth it. We don’t go often in the summer since we’re so busy with lots of other stuff, but we’re there frequently in the winter. It’s nice to have a place where I can let her run around safely and play with things. It is well worth a visit in the summer, too, because they have a nice outdoor play area. A visit to the museum always wears Baby Beez out…she conked out in the car on the way home, and took a 3 hour nap!
